This is a real, late 1950s early 1960s, beauty! She has a fantastic voile pleated bias collar neckline, full lace overlay and sheer lace long sleeves which finish in an elegant point.
The full ankle skimming (depending on your height of course!) skirt is adorned with fabulous pleated voile ‘waves’ that mirror the neck detail and finish halfway up the skirt ending in rosebud detail. The underskirt is a double layer of raw cotton over laid with satin and a net skirt with a fringe of extra netting at the bottom making this dress very full and heavy!
The 5 layers in the skirt make it hang beautifully and moves gracefully when you do, perfect for that first dance!
