This vintage dress is in stunning condition for its age!

A stunning lace wedding dress has sweeping lines a high neckline and voluminous sleeves classic of the 1930s to early 1940s fashion.
As zips were in short supply at this time the dress is fastened using a single row of rouleau loops all the way to the lower back. Rouleau loops were favoured over homemade buttons to add a touch of luxury.
The seam to the front creates a small bust area leading out to a flared skirt and long train to the rear.

Creating a long and narrow silhouette with a gathered sleeve head to reflect the popular square shoulder look of the time. This gown was designed to be worn over a sleeveless opaque white under-dress or petticoat.

The dress has a couple of nibble holes in the fabric as pointed out in the photos and a little light staining to the top of the train, also shown. These defects do not detract from the beauty of this dress!
